Anger Solutions Atlanta Family Violence Intervention Program (FVIP) is licenced by the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), the Georgia Commission on Family Violence (GCFV), and the the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council [CJCC] as a State of Georgia Certified Family Violence Intervention Program. The Family Violence Intervention Program (FVIP) is a minimum of 24-week curriculum conducted over a 27 week period; The FVIP program is a referral-based, and volunteer, intervention program designed to offer healthy alternatives to abusive and violent patterns that may be present in family relationships and to aid in the reduction and elimination of domestic violence in Georgia. Anger Solutions Atlanta will attempt to achieve this goal by increasing batterers accountability, general understanding of the impact of their behavior, and self-regulation skills by using the “Men At Work: Building Safe Communities” curriculum of intervention as taught by Men Stopping Violence, Inc. This program is court approved and many individuals access this program because of court orders, case planning through the Department of Family and Children’s Services and also as voluntary participants seeking alternatives to violent relationships. We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences to be a part of our groups. Classes are ongoing, and you may enroll anytime.
