Anger Management Corporate Training

“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependant on us, we are dependant on him. He is not an interruption in our work, he is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business, he is a part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him, He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Are you an organization (profit or non-profit) struggling with angry or aggressive Employees? There is an increasing pressure for organizations to put measures in place to reduce aggression in the workplace. To avoid liability, many companies are turning to Anger Solutions Atlanta for help in delivering organizational specific intervention. Whether it’s to refer employees, deliver workshops or seminars, or you just would like an assessment of your situation, we will create a program uniquely designed for your needs.

We have consultants that come on site to give workshops to employees on the job.

On site workshops or presentations regarding anger management are available for all  of your staff and are available from a one-hour to a full day, or on-going format.

Workshops are developed to meet the specific needs of the audience. Each workshop will be developed following the completion of a questionnaire that identifies the unique concerns of the group making the request. Workshops involve formal presentation, active engagement including role-play and shared discussion. A manual is included in all workshops.

We offer a wide range of anger management services to tackle every possible anger related situation that could arise in the workplace, because when anger in the workplace is constructively managed, it leads to improved communication, increased productivity and career enhancement. In contrast, misdirected anger can negatively impact work relationships, job satisfaction, performance and ultimately one’s career.

As with anger in general, anger in the workplace is very often related to unrealistic expectations. While, every member of the work team has a key role in helping a company succeed, each may, at times, develop unrealistic expectations of others, of the firm, or even themselves. This can easily lead to tension and frustration. Effectively managing anger in the workplace involves recognizing the specific sources of our anger, the emotions that accompanies it and the expectations and conclusions we make that may promote it. In addition, healthy anger management in the workplace involves identifying a wide repertoire of strategies to address these concerns.

Employers who have employees working under high stress levels will find anger management and stress management classes helpful in dealing with customer and corporate demands.

Anger Management
Conflict Resolution for Employees – We help employees increase their awareness of how anger can affect their work performance and work environment. Participants learn the difference between aggressiveness and assertiveness, how to assess one’s anger and effective ways of reacting to anger. We examine the impact of destructive anger and guide participants through specific anger management techniques.

Supervision of the Angry Employee Participants are educated on how employee anger impacts the workplace, and the differences between aggressiveness and assertiveness. We present intervention planning and strategies along with specific techniques on limit setting and defusing hostile employees. We also present role-plays to allow the participants to apply their learned training information to their work environment.

Communication Skills We examine the importance of good communication skills and specific principles of communication. Participants receive guidelines to become  effective listeners and speakers during an interaction. They will also learn how assertiveness can enhance communications. We provide specific diffusing techniques to use with difficult people.

Assertiveness Training Assertiveness is simply a way of expressing how one feels and asking for things in a way that still respects and preserves the rights of others. In Assertiveness Training, we help employees build skills needed to express themselves constructively and effectively in any situation. This is a highly interactive, practice-driven training class; Employees will not only learn the principles of assertiveness but they will participate in role-plays and small group interactions to help  them get comfortable with the assertiveness process before taking it back to the workplace.

Stress Management and Burn out Prevention This training reviews the impact of stress and burnout on our lives. Participants learn about the concepts of stress and burnout, how to identify their symptoms and learn techniques to reduce the impact of stress on their lives.

Preventing Aggression in the Workplace Employees produce both verbal and non-verbal communication that can convey aggression and intimidation, which can significantly impact productivity and morale. In this workshop, we will look at the spectrum of aggressive behaviors, from low, medium and high-risk levels. Participants will learn how to identify a wide range of negative behaviors, how they can impact their work site, and begin to create a safe and respectful workplace. We will explore strategies that include conflict resolution and intervention on an individual and group basis.

Unlike many training organizations, our trainers have industry relevant experience and fully understand the complexities and anxieties of the “business world”. All of our trainers utilize a practical down to earth approach when teaching, allowing employees to develop their own skills without being forced down a formulaic, prescriptive style. Our training stems from leading edge academic research coupled with practical guidance from the floor. Each participant is expected to experiment and demonstrate their new-found skills whilst receiving constructive feedback from both the trainer and fellow colleagues.
